Description:

Respondent intending to submit a Quotation for this competition shall contact the Procurement Officer, at procurement@halifaxwater.ca, to request the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Upon receipt of the Proponent-signed NDA, the Procurement Officer will grant the Proponent access to the designated solicitation documents.

This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Halifax Regional Water Commission (“Halifax Water”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Lake Major WSP New Fluoride System, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

Halifax Water is looking for a qualified contractor to install a new fluoride system at the Lake Major Water Supply Plant (WSP) located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The scope of the work includes the demolition of an existing building, the supply and installation of a prefabricated FRP building on the existing slab-on-grade, complete with the supply and installation of fluoride storage tanks and all associated process systems, including PVC piping, valves, ventilation piping, pipe supports, and level monitoring equipment. The Work further includes installation of Owner-supplied fluoride metering pumps, and provision of all required electrical and instrumentation connections.

The fluoride system will utilize 30% Hydrofluorosilicic Acid as the primary dosing chemical. Given the hazardous nature of this substance, a high standard of workmanship and strict adherence to safety and quality requirements are critical to the successful installation of this system.
